Perform a full shut down in HP ElitePad 1000 laptop instruction

Under normal conditions, it is recommended to shut down your HP ElitePad 1000 laptop using the Shut down option in the Power menu. This option allows your HP ElitePad 1000 laptop to start up faster the next time you turn it on. However, there are times when you should do a full shutdown. A full shutdown is recommended for any of the following actions:
Opening the BIOS Setup Utility.
Opening UEFI menu options and test.
Shutting down the computer for long term storage or shipment.
Shutting down the computer to perform hardware upgrades – adding memory, replacing a hard drive, etc.
To perform a full shut down in HP ElitePad 1000 laptop, do the following:
Press the Windows  key.
Click Power, press and hold the Shift key, and then select Shut down.
