Updating the BIOS through the Internet

In previous articles, we have introduced details steps of how to update BIOS system in Dell. Today we'd like to share some information about updating ASUS BIOS system, let's begin with the first method: Updating the BIOS through the Internet.

To update the BIOS through the Internet

1.Launch the ASUS Update utilityfrom the Windows® desktop by clicking Start > All Programs >ASUS > ASUS Update for Eee PC>ASUS Update. The ASUS Update main window appears.

2.Select Update BIOS from Internet from the drop-down menu, then click Next.

3.Select the ASUS FTP site nearest youto avoid network traffic, or click AutoSelect. Click Next.

4.From the FTP site, select the desired BIOS version and click Next.

5.Follow the screen instructions tocomplete the update process.

The ASUS Update utility is capable of updating itself through theInternet. Always update the utility to avail all its features.
