A normal 4 cell battery can last up to 3 to 4 hours on a normal use. This includes a normal brightness setting, normal browsing on the system, and normal or balanced settings in Power Options.
Lenovo software controls battery charging up to 55% -60%. This will make the battery runtime shorter if unplugged. Make sure that this feature is turned off by selecting the proper settings.
You may try either method to check the battery settings.
1. Lenovo Power Management / Lenovo Energy Manager
Please ensure the battery is set to Optimize for Battery runtime / Maximum Battery life.
2. One key Optimizer
Please ensure the mode is set to Normal charging.
