I just updated to the latest bios yesterday and now my laptop wont charge more than 60%, why is that? Don't panic, you can solve it via the suggestion below:
Method 1 - Uninstall/ Reinstall Battery
A) Unplug AC adapter
B) Right click on Windows Start Button I Device Manager I Batteries I "Microsoft ACPI - Compliant Control Method Battery" right click and uninstall it. Now right click on Battery and select "Scan for hardware changes".
Method 2 - Try to calibrate a laptop battery
1. Remove the AC adapter from the laptop.
2.Turn on the laptop. Allow it to run on battery power until the battery is drained to 40 percent of capacity. Hover your mouse over the battery icon in the lower right corner of your toolbar. This will display how much life the battery still possesses.
3.Remove the battery from the laptop. The battery is located on the underside of your computer. Slide the locking mechanism to the side to unlock or release the battery. Once released, the battery will either slide out or can be lifted out of the bay. Store the battery until you are ready to use it.
4. Place the battery back into the battery bay when you are ready to use it.
5.Plug the AC adapter into the side of the laptop. Allow the adapter to fully charge the battery prior to use.
If they all not help, you need to consider replace with a brand new dell xps 15 9550 11.4V 4865mAh batteries, here is the battery spec we got:

Lenovo Battery charging does not start until the Power Meter shows that less than 95% of the total power remains; under this condition thebattery pack can charge to 100% of its capacity. This protects the battery pack from being overcharged or from having a shortened life. Also we believe this happens to many other battery.
