Troubleshooting: My SAMSUNG Notebook 9 Spin Battery Only Charges To 80%

If the SAMSUNG Notebook 9 Spin battery on your computer is only charging to 80%, this is because Battery Life Extender is on. Battery Life Extender sets the maximum battery charge level to 80% in order to extend the life of your battery. If you would like to turn this function off, follow the steps below:

Windows 10
Open Samsung Settings from Start Screen or desktop. 

In Samsung Settings window, click Power Management.
Under Battery Life Extender + section, slide slider to OFF. Battery Life Extender + is now turned off.


Windows 8
Open Settings from Start Screen or desktop. 

In Settings window, click Power Management.
Click Battery Life Extender tab.
On Battery Life Extender window, slide slider to Off. Battery Life Extender is now turned off.


Windows 7
Press Fn+F1 keys on keyboard to open Control Center.
In Control Center window, click on Battery Life Extender.
On Battery Life Extender window, slide slider to Off. Battery Life Extender is now turned off.
