DELL XPS 15 9530 performance review

Original DELL XPS 15 9530 11.1V 5500mAh laptop battery
Inside DELL XPS 15 9530 notebook was a 2.3-GHz Intel Core i7-4712HQ processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive. You will have no trouble playing videos, running scans and browsing the Web simultaneously on this machine, but in our performance tests, it fell a bit short of the competition.
On Geekbench 3, which measures overall performance, the XPS 15's score of 11,816 was about 2,500 points higher than the category average of 9,308. However, the MacBook Pro and the Acer V15 Nitro, both of which also have Core i7 processors, notched even higher scores of 13,352 and 12,843, respectively.
The XPS 15's 512GB SSD was fast, duplicating 5GB of multimedia files in 33 seconds -- more than a minute faster than average. Again, though, the Dell was trumped by the MacBook Pro's PCIe-based flash storage (18 seconds), as well as the Acer's more conventional 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD combo (25 seconds).
Similarly, the XPS 15 matched 20,000 names and addresses in OpenOffice in 4 minutes and 9 seconds, which is also more than a minute faster than the average but slower than its closest competitors. The Acer was a few seconds faster (3:55), while the Mac was a minute faster (3:04).

CLEVO W251ELQ Maintenance Precautions

Brand new CLEVO W240BAT-6 11.1V 4400mAh laptop battery

1. Don't drop it. Perform your repairs and/or upgrades on a stable surface. If the computer falls, the case and other components could be damaged.
2. Don't overheat it. Note the proximity of any heating elements. Keep the computer out of direct sunlight.
3. Avoid interference. Note the proximity of any high capacity transformers, electric motors, and other strong magnetic fields. These can hinder proper performance and damage components and/or data. You should also monitor the position of magnetized tools (i.e. screwdrivers).
4. Keep it dry. This is an electrical appliance. If water or any other liquid gets into it, the computer could be badly damaged.
5. Be careful with power. Avoid accidental shocks, discharges or explosions. •Before removing or servicing any part from the computer, turn the computer off and detach any power supplies.
•When you want to unplug the power cord or any cable/wire, be sure to disconnect it by the plug head. Do not pull on the wire.Find More Laptop AC Adapters Here.
6. Peripherals – Turn off and detach any peripherals.
7. Beware of static discharge. ICs, such as the CPU and main support chips, are vulnerable to static electricity. Before handling any part in the computer, discharge any static electricity inside the computer. When handling a printed circuit board, do not use gloves or other materials which allow static electricity buildup. We suggest that you use an anti-static wrist strap instead.
8. Beware of corrosion. As you perform your job, avoid touching any connector leads. Even the cleanest hands produce oils which can attract corrosive elements.
9. Keep your work environment clean. Tobacco smoke, dust or other air-born particulate matter is often attracted to charged surfaces, reducing performance.
10. Keep track of the components. When removing or replacing any part, be careful not to leave small parts, such as screws, loose inside the computer.

Upgrade Guide for Asus Rog G751

We’ve been asked about the potential for a asus G751 upgrade, regarding HDD/SSDs, memory and even replacing the Blu-ray drive. These are user-accessible via a single hatch on the underside and retain the warranty. Further changes require more complete dis-assembly of the asus G751, and are not recommended (at the very least you lose any remaining warranty), so be sure to check your spec before you buy.

To start, put your asus G751 on a non-scratch surface and flip it over.

See the tab in the middle, lift it up and reveal the screw underneath. Unscrew and carefully pull away the plastic cover.

ASUS ROG G751 Series 15V 5800mAh laptop battery

Please notice asus G751 is with two HDDs installed. Note the mounting bracket is different for M.2 SSDs (yellow) and 2.5 inch SSDs/HDDs (red). SSD models will be listed “SATA” or “PCIE” in the retail specifications before you purchase. Please purchase a model with “SSD PCIE” listed, otherwise the M.2 bracket cannot be provided for after-sales upgrades sorry.

Here are some close-ups of the first drive bay, where both the M.2 PCI-E x4 slot and SATA ports inhabit. There is no M.2 slot in the second drive bay and M.2 SATA SSDs are not supported, only PCI-E-based (which are better!). M.2 PCI-E SSDs up to 2280 spec (80mm long) can be installed and they are held in by a single retaining screw.

For the 2.5 inch HDD/SDD cage, four screws are required to secure it to the caddy (two are pointed out with red arrows, with two more directly on the opposite side). Pull the tag across to unlock the drive from the SATA connector. A few more screws on the side then to hold in the drive to the caddy.

Two DDR3L (1.35V) SO-DIMMs can be changed out, with two more pre-installed within the unit at time of purchase (highlighted below). Up to 32GB can be installed and if you intend to run this quantity at a later date, be sure to purchase with at least 16GB, so 2x 8GB DIMMs are pre-installed.

The optical drive is retained with a single screw, and the connector is standard SATA:

Precautions for Panasonic Toughbook cf 31 battery pack

original PANASONIC Toughbook CF-31 10.8V 6750mAh laptop battery

The panasonic toughbook cf 31 battery pack may become warm during recharging or normal use. This is completely normal.
Recharging will not commence if internal temperature of the panasonic battery pack is outside of the allowable temperature range (0°C to 50 °C {32°F to 122 °F}). Once the allowable range requirement is satisfied, charging begins automatically. Note that the recharging time varies based on the usage conditions. (Recharging takes longer than usual when the temperature is
10 °C {50 °F} or below.
If the temperature is low, the operating time is shortened.Only use the computer within the allowable temperature range.
This computer has a high temperature mode function that prevents the degradation of the battery in high temperature environments. A level corresponding to a 100% charge for high temperature mode is approximately equivalent to an 80% charge level for normal temperature mode.
The battery pack is a consumable item. If the amount of time the computer can be run by using a particular battery pack becomes dramatically shorter and repeated recharging does not restore its performance, the battery pack should be replaced with a new one.
When transporting a spare battery inside a package, briefcase, etc., it is recommended that it be placed in a plastic bag so that its contacts are protected.
Always power off the computer when it is not in use. Leaving the computer on when the AC adapter is not connected will exhaust the remaining battery capacity.
